new orleans has a deficit

seems to me if we were really concerned about our deficit, we might post pone the city council pay raise or have our mayor restrict his travels to exotic locales on tax payer money.

in other news

thanks be to the powers that the new hate crimes bill passed that now includes sexual orientation and gender identity.

nagin has gone communist. since he likes china and cuba so much, perhaps he could relocate immediately.

vitter refused to vote for the hate crimes legislation despite the fact that it was attached to war spending legislation. you have to be one fucked up biased son of bitch to be a republican and not vote for war spending just to avoid giving gays protection.

i'm bitter. just tired and bitter.

ah good ole robbie burns

The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

sometimes you just have to stop in the middle of the game

we are not open yet. the preliminary health inspection is today. it will probably be a week before we get our actual health inspection. the stress is mounting and the money is growing sparse. i'm still sick. i took a lovely little trip into the emergency room last week and still have no idea as to what is wrong with me. the doctors seem to think it is asthma but having endured asthma my whole life, i can honestly disagree. so it is off to the doctor tomorrow to try and get an actual diagnosis that is correct. my truck tire blew out. sam is in the hospital and maybe, just maybe mercury is in retrograde.
oh and to all the idiots that think we don't need to overhaul the health care industry, i say suck on it! but would also like to say that despite the red tape, i am very grateful for LSU and free health care.
